Centennial Canoe

Testimonials

"I loved watching my daughters have a great time on the river - and in particular watching my kiddo who got scared canoeing last year just have an absolute blast and get over her fears through great experiences."

   Laura Landrum, Fort Collins, CO

"Our guides led us on a hike up Dominguez Canyon to view the petroglyphs (awesome), came up with games to play in the evenings, took us floating, provided great music, and were filled with interesting information about the region."

   Elaine Gall, Dodge City, KS

"The scenery was spectacular and the company was great. I had a really relaxing time, and laughed heaps. The trip covered about sixty miles and was four nights and five days, and honestly it ended too soon."

   Ian Thompson,  Whakatane, New Zealand

"This canoe trip was my first canoeing adventure and I had a marvelous time. I am blind and your guides were wonderful throughout the weekend regarding offering assistance to me when I needed it and showing me the proper paddling technique. I'll be signing up for future trips with Centennial to be sure!"

   Dave Thomas, Denver, CO

"My husband & I just celebrated our 30th anniversary w/ a trip to Costa Rica.  We had never been there before & weren’t really sure where to start.  Since Marty @ Centennial Canoe had always organized such great river trips for us (and we knew he used to run trips down there), we contacted him for advice.  He and the agents in CR organized the whole trip for us & it was fantastic.  Didn’t have to worry about how we were getting around or where we were staying.  The national parks down there are a treasure.  Thanks Marty!"

   Carol J. Dollard, Bellvue CO

"These trips are great weekend getaways. In fact, I usually do several of them in a season."

   Jack Lee, Salida, CO

"The guides were able to cater to the many skill levels and personalities of our group to ensure everyone had a great time and felt safe.  What an amazing experience for my scouts!"

   Gretchen Trail, Littleton, CO

"Our family had a blast! The water fights, floating through the rapids in our lifejackets, hiking and singing around the campfire... we'll definitely be back!"

Deb and Jeff Young, Lake Orion, MI

"We've been going on canoe trips with you for 20+ years."

Kim Hagar & David Johnson, Golden, CO

"Jackson and I had a fabulous experience.  When we got into our car to head home he gave me the "five" and said "Thanks Mom!"  My mission was accomplished!  Thank you for sharing your love of the river with all of us.  We really feel Centennial Canoe is a great operation."

   Jennifer Bayer, Nederland, CO

"The canyon, river and campsites were gorgeous; the guides were both competent and fun; the food was delicious; and our fellow guests made for delightful company."

   Rick Young, Castle Rock, CO

"It was exactly what I wanted for a trip with a six year old.  The guides attention/patience/enjoyment of kids was heartwarming."

   Judy Bradford, Peoria, IL

"Randy and Ginger were excellent guides and they worked beautifully together. The quality of guides really makes, or breaks, a trip. These two could not have been any better. This White river trip was wonderful, and was all that we were hoping for. It should remain a staple among your trip offerings. Remote and isolated, lovely scenery, great camping and relaxing canoeing."

   David Steere, Longmont, CO

This trip gave us an opportunity to do something we wouldn't normally do. Scenery was amazing. Guides and other guests all great!

   Liesl Thomas, Denver, CO

The luxury of being in beautiful surroundings and being so well cared for - food - conversation - bonding with others and trusting the guides for health and safety.

Louise Nayer and Jim Patten, San Francisco, CA

I can't say enough good things about our trip. We all had an incredible time. The guides were awesome people and good cooks. They gave us just the right amount of supervision to keep us from serious harm. It was incredible to be back in a canoe after 20 years absence. We're already planning to go on a trip next year.

Random FAQ

What if I’ve never camped before?  That’s okay, your guides are glad to help put up your tent.

What if it rains?  Rain showers are usually brief in the desert and frankly quite refreshing. We recommend good rain gear that covers your head, upper torso and legs.

Are all my meals included?  Yes, starting with breakfast the first morning of your trip through lunch on the last day of the trip.
