Between the town of Green River, Utah, and Canyonlands National Park is part of the longest stretch of quiet wilderness water in the lower 48 states. As you canoe the Green River, the moving panorama is incomparable. The twisting, looping river winds its way between sheer, colorful sandstone walls, hundreds of feet high. Vast canyon systems and water channels branch in all directions, inviting hiking and exploring as well as providing excellent camping.

A representative from Boulder Beer (www.boulderbeer.com) will facilitate this trip, providing a delightful weekend of beer tasting with a variety of their brews during Happy Hour and the evening meal. Additionally, our facilitator will discuss the microbrewery industry and answer your questions.

Geology is an amazing science and lots of fun when presented in an easy-to-understand way. A geologist from the Denver Museum will accompany you into the geologic wonderland of the Colorado River. Learn how deep canyons were formed over ions of time and the fascinating formations of the Colorado Plateau.
July 21st - July 22nd, 2012
This is a private trip for Bruce Rau Boy Scout Troop #770. This spectacular canyon country of the Colorado Plateau, including Ruby and Horsethief Canyons, features majestic walls of red sandstone and offers some of the best canoeing in Colorado. The river is gentle with occasional small Class I+ rapids to add spice to the journey. Roads do not bound this portion of the river and the steep-walled canyons are accessible only from the river.
