Prof. T.S. McMillin, author of "The Meaning of Rivers: Flow & Reflection in American Literature" will be the facilitator and interpreter on this trip. Prof. McMillin also teaches courses in American Literature and environmental studies. This is a private trip for Oberlin Alums.
August 14th - August 16th, 2014
Dr. James Dunn, Geography professor at University of Northern Colorado, will be facilitating this trip for college credit as you learn about the power of water, wind, and weathering in a western environment. Labs and field exercises will be conducted throughout the trip as appropriate. Private trip for students.
August 15th - August 17th, 2014
Colorado canoeing on the Gunnison River will spark your sense of adventure with opportunities for hiking and exploring in one of Colorado's newest Wilderness Areas, Dominguez Canyon, floating in your lifejacket and camping along the river’s edge. During this Colorado canoe trip, you will be dwarfed by high walls of red sandstone and shale deposited during the age of the dinosaurs.
August 16th - August 18th, 2014
This spectacular canyon country of the Colorado Plateau, including Ruby and Horsethief Canyons, features majestic walls of red sandstone and offers some of the best canoeing in Colorado.
