Yampa River Canoeing: Memorial Day Weekend

May 25th - May 27th, 2013

Special discount through May 1st: $335/adult. The Yampa River is the perfect place to introduce yourself to canoeing, camping and the great outdoors. Plus, the fine art of roasting marshmallows over the campfire. This river is easy to paddle and ideal for beginners. The Yampa is also known for wildlife viewing so bring your camera.

Dolores River Canoeing

The Dolores River is a beautiful back-country river tucked away from normal travel in extreme western Colorado, approximately 50 miles southwest of Grand Junction, CO. Beginning at the confluence of the San Miguel and Dolores Rivers and winding up in Gateway, CO, this 30-mile section offers spectacular scenery and western history.

White River Canoeing: Star Gazing

The Tito Salas star gazing trip has become a yearly tradition and sells out fast. Tito makes astronomy interesting and most of all FUN for all ages. Away from all the city lights, the wilderness night sky is unbelievably clear allowing us to gaze at the constellations, Milky Way, and maybe galaxies beyond!

Gunnison River Canoeing: Denver Museum Archaeology & Art

June 14th - June 16th, 2013

Learn about the prehistoric people and past civilizations who lived along the rivers of the Colorado Plateau. Examine the rock art and structures they left behind with Denver Museum of Nature & Science expert, Michele Koons. You can also experiment making some art and native crafts of your own with guidance from our facilitator.

Yampa River Canoeing (Adult Only)

Canoe Colorado on the Yampa River, the last undammed tributary of the Colorado River system. This enchanted river in northwestern Colorado gently meanders through a remote area teeming with wildlife, colorful vegetation and an Indian pictograph. Relaxation is the keyword while camping along the lush open meadows and high-walled canyons through this 34-mile river stretch near Craig, CO. Open to ages 18+.

North Platte River Canoeing: Denver Museum Bird & Wildlife

June 14th - June 16th, 2013

Join Denver Museum wildlife expert and naturalist, Jeff Stephenson, as you venture down the N. Platte River, a haven for over 80 species of birds and a large variety of animals. Jeff is great at sharing his knowledge and making the learning experience fun for all.
