Colorado canoeing on the Gunnison River will spark your sense of adventure with opportunities for hiking and exploring in one of Colorado's Wilderness Areas, Dominguez Canyon, floating in your life jacket and camping along the river’s edge. During this Colorado canoe trip, you will be dwarfed by high walls of red sandstone and shale deposited during the age of the dinosaurs.

This magnificent canyon country of the Colorado Plateau, including Ruby and Horsethief Canyons, features majestic walls of red sandstone and offers some of the best canoeing in Colorado. Roads do not bound this portion of the river and the steep-walled canyons are accessible only from the river, giving the area a true wilderness setting.
