Geography Professor, Dr. James Dunn, University of Northern Colorado, will be facilitating this trip as you learn about the power of water, wind, and weathering in a western environment. Labs and field exercises will be conducted throughout the trip as appropriate. This trip is for UNC college students, alumni, and the adult public.

Colorado canoeing on the Gunnison River will spark your sense of adventure with opportunities for hiking and exploring in one of Colorado's newest Wilderness Areas, Dominguez Canyon, floating in your lifejacket and camping along the river’s edge. During this Colorado canoe trip, you will be dwarfed by high walls of red sandstone and shale deposited during the age of the dinosaurs.
