The Dolores River is a beautiful back-country river tucked away from normal travel in extreme western Colorado, approximately 50 miles southwest of Grand Junction, CO. Beginning at the confluence of the San Miguel and Dolores Rivers and winding up in Gateway, CO, this 30-mile section offers spectacular scenery and western history.

Embark on a memorable weekend as you you revel in both earthbound scenery and the breathtaking skies above. Away from all the city lights, the wilderness night sky is unbelievably clear allowing us to gaze at the constellations, Milky Way, and maybe galaxies beyond! Paddling through towering red sandstone canyons will add to the unforgettable journey. Open to the public.
