You will begin your paddle at the new "Two Bridges" launch ramp and conclude at Catamount Campground. Bus transportation from Denver by the museum TBD. Your trip will include spectacular canyon country northwest of Vail, CO. A stunning landscape of pine trees and multi-colored sandstone formations with some volcanic intrusions line this pleasant section of river that lies just 155 miles (2.5 hr.) northwest of Denver, CO. This section of the Colorado River features Class I flat water (Class I is very easy and Class V is very difficult). It’s also a great river stretch for trout fishing. If you drive yourself, you may want to fish before or after your trip. Be sure and bring your fishing gear and license. Another option if you drive yourself is a relaxing visit to Glenwood Springs and their natural hot mineral springs pool and vapor caves, located just 34 miles to the west. Also in Glenwood Springs you'll find the caves of Glenwood Caverns.
